Staff was helpful, constantly cleaning the place, and wanting to please us. Pool was well kept. Beach was right there. Food was good and varied. Little shops were within walking distance, and 3-wheelers were ready to take you anywhere.
It was mildly annoying to have to pass the vendors hanging out between the hotel fence and the beach. They were persistent and would follow you right down to the waves. But, their wares were reasonably priced, and they too have to make a living, after all.
The staff were so friendly, was a fantastic place to stay for price and cleanliness. Had an amazing time here.
Cannot fault the stay at Pradise Beach, service was perfect people very friendly and in great location for cheap shopping and sight seeing.
Good food, polite staff
staff overworked and too busy to repair balcony door, took 1 hour even to get the room service menu, facilities old and funky although kept extremely clean-- photos on internet taken to make bathrooms look deceptively new and pools deceptively large--very crowded. Worst is the public beach is really not a good nor comfortable nor private access to beach.
I liked this hotel because it provide nice rooms and facilities for good value for money.
For less money you can stay in a great geust house. Staff were very helpful but it was not the best start to out time in SL. Expected more.
Friendly staff, food good nice pool and on the beach, Good budget hotel, rooms a little dated but large.
Sourrounding area very drab and run down but maybe that is Sri Lanka!
The grounds were great. It had a really nice pool and the beach was amazing.
The rooms were just ok. We normally don't spend a lot of times in the room when we travel though, so it wasn't a big deal.
The only good thing about this hotle was its location being right on the beach and close to the airport
The service of this hotel was the worst I have received. The staff at the front desk lacked information. I definitely would not recommned didning at the restaurant! I ordered a curry and it came out cold and had to send it back twice and it was still only just warm. I asked to change my meal as I didn't want to send the curry back a third time to which they agreed. I ordered the vegetarian noodles as my previous order was a curry and rice but when I got the bill I was charged for it. I complained and this fell on deaf ears. I didn't even get an apology for having to send the curry back twice.
the beach site
i bought my best friend there to give him a comfort...thinking it was a star hotel.but the toilet and the room did not seem to be like that....i dont know if he was dissappointed.but i was very much..................ill make it a point never to com to this hotel in future....good bye
Location right on the beach
Terrible mosquitos in room and very noisy
cleanliness, rooms are run down, not worth the price
We received a very friendly welcome from the owners who had arranged a pick-up at the airport following our long flight from Dublin Ireland. All the staff were most pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the meals we had and our bedroom was comfortable overlooking the gardens and beach.
Paradise hotel for us was a stop over for a early morning flight, I would not stay here for any other reason.
The hotel was fine for the purpose we needed it for.
Location, room view.
1) Aggressive manner in which hotel reception insisted on full payment on arrival whilst at the same time offering a welcome drink, it was not gthe first time I had stayed in this hotel. 2) Ridiculus price for taxi to the airport (22 USD), instead got a tuk tuk for Rs 800 and probably could have negotiated less.
On the beach, nice breeze
This hotel is outdated, needs a lot of maintenance, more like a 2 star hotel and far too overpriced. Also on top of the quoted hotel price look out for the extra taxes which amounted to US25.00
